Physio-Led Pilates Classes
Our Physio-Led Pilates classes are designed to help you improve strength, control, mobility and confidence with movement in a safe and supportive environment.
As the classes are led by qualified physiotherapists you know you’re in good hands!
Each 45-minute class is led by an HCPC-registered physiotherapist with additional Pilates training, so exercises can be adapted to suit your individual needs, previous injuries and current level of ability.
Before joining a class, every participant has a one-hour, one-to-one assessment with the physiotherapist who runs the classes. This gives us the opportunity to review your health and medical history, assess your movement, strength, control and balance, and identify any exercises that may need to be modified. Your physiotherapist will then recommend the class that is most appropriate for you.
If the class is not right for you, then we can book 1 hour 1:1 sessions with our physiotherapist.
Classes are booked as a course of sessions (10-12), helping you build confidence and progress over time in a consistent group.
Please bring your own exercise mat. We provide any additional equipment needed, such as Pilates blocks, resistance bands and small balls.
Classes will initially be run at Stapleford Pavillion on Friday mornings.
If you would like to find out whether Physio-Led Pilates is suitable for you, please speak to our reception team on 01223 211606 and we can book you in for an assessment.

Do I need an assessment before joining a class?

What do I need to bring?
Please bring your own Pilates or exercise mat and wear comfortable clothing. We provide any other equipment needed, including blocks, resistance bands and small balls.
What happens if I miss a class?
If there is space and it is clinically appropriate, you may be able to attend another class during the same term. This is subject to availability and is not guaranteed. In exceptional circumstances, unused sessions may be carried forward to the next term at the discretion of the Clinic Director.

All the best TonkoPosted on Google Michael SmithTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Today I had an initial consultation with Emma about a shoulder issue I’m having and she was brilliant. She was incredibly thorough with her screening and questioning to pinpoint the most probable causes and treatments. Shoulders are always tricky so I was very happy to hear that she wasn’t too concerned about my dilemma. She assured me with good rest and recovery procedures, I should be back up to speed within the next fortnight or so. Thanks so much Emma!
