Emma Shinkin
Emma qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of Birmingham in 2007. She has a Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Physiotherapy and is working towards completing her full masters. In addition, she has a level 3 Diploma in sports massage.
She has worked in the NHS for 17 years and has a wide range of experience working across the fields of trauma, orthopaedics, respiratory, neurology including stroke, head injuries and spinal injuries and women’s health before specialising in musculoskeletal in 2015.
Emma also currently works as a highly specialist Physiotherapist in the NHS in Peterborough and works across GP practices.
She has previously worked in private practice and previously worked with Swansea City AFC and Cardiff City FC youth academies.
Emma is an ex-Senior Welsh hockey international with over 50 caps and played in the Commonwealth Games in Delhi and World Cup qualifiers in Russia in 2010. She is an ex-Welsh football international up to under 19 level and played in the UEFA Championships in Finland.
She enjoys treating a wide range of conditions including sports injuries.
