Dominic Richmond
Dominic is an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist and UKSCA strength and conditioning coach, with a focus on knee rehabilitation and return-to-sport. He serves as a specialist knee physiotherapist in the NHS and at Cambridge Physiotherapy Clinic, where he conducts specialised assessments, offers second opinions, and leads an innovative ACL rehabilitation program. Dominic is also active in education and research, enhancing his practice through collaborations with leading knee surgeons. This affiliation provides him with insights into complex cases, knee imaging, and surgical outcomes, deepening his understanding of knee injuries. During his professional journey, Dominic has gained valuable experience in the NHS, private sector and working with elite athletes, notably at the Norwich City Football Club academy.
Dominic gained a first-class honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science in 2013, completed his Master’s qualification in Physiotherapy in 2016, and a second Master’s in ‘Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy’ from the University of Birmingham this year. His dissertation, which focused on returning athletes to sport post-ACL injury, was part of this qualification. As an accredited member of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP), he demonstrates advanced clinical expertise. Additionally, Dominic has experience treating pediatric patients with lower limb injuries, showing his versatility in addressing a wide range of musculoskeletal issues.
Dominic’s passions are being physical active in any capacity revolve around hikes, weightlifting, cycling and football. But, this currently takes a back seat while his main physical activity is chasing his 1 year old around!
